The Associate certification is designed for technicians who have less than two years experience or trade school training for electronics technicians. The CETa is more
in-depth than the Student Electronics Technician (SET) as it expands on all of the topics listed within the SET. Every Certified Electronics Technician (CET) candidate must pass the Associate exam before they can qualify to sit for the full Journeyman certification. Once a technician has completed the four year term, they should specialize and take a Journeyman option.
If you hold a CertTEC BEE certification with all four modules current, then you are eligible to rollover to an ETA Associate Electronics Technician certification! To apply, you must fill out the rollover form, and send a copy of your BEE certificate showing all four modules checked and up-to-date to ETA via fax (765) 653-4287 or email. BEE rollovers are $60.
ETA is proud to partner with eITprep to offer an online study resource for this ETA certification – only $59.95! This particular course is the online version of the popular ETA Associate CET Study Guide. You will have 6 months to complete the content. These courses are for self-study or certification maintenance purposes only, and do not lead to certification. You will need to sit for the appropriate exam by contacting an ETA Certification Administrator and/or ETA-Approved School.
